Just Like Dad

Ok, so this morning Jon was in charge of getting Sheridan dressed. I was not surprised when she came back with jeans and a white t-shirt (dad's favorite outfit - for himself!) She looked so adorable in her little jeans and sneakers I, of course, had to take a picture.

I love puppies

Ok - this outfit is 6 months but we tried it on today and I'm so glad we did because I think she will probably grow out of it before 6 months AND I think it is my new favorite outfit! I may have taken it a bit to the extreme, because I pulled out the camera today and couldn't stop myself. Below are just a few of the moments I captured today....I love being part time!!!

I love the one of Jon and Sheridan - does anyone else think she looks like daddy??

Changing so fast!

The Sweetest Sound

Sheridan laughed! It was the greatest thing ever....we actually caught it on video tape tonight - I am going to try and see if I can figure out how to upload video onto the web. She actually laughed for the first time on Monday night - we were hanging out in our bedroom and Stallone started barking - Sheridan smiled and I said "do you think that's funny" and out of no where she laughed. She went ah ha, ha, ha - Jon and I both stared in silence to see if what we heard was true and then she laughed again! Everyday is something new - it is the little things now that make every moment count. Part time work is awesome! It is so wonderful to be home in the morning and have that extra time with her. Below are some new pics of our recent days together.

Life is about to be SO good.

Once again it has taken me way to long to update everyone on our life, but I have some great news to share! As most of you know or could probably tell from my blog entries returning to work was much harder for me than expected. I didn't necessarily want to be a stay at home mom but I didn't want to be away for so many hours during the week - I basically wanted the best of both worlds....to me a mom and have a career. I think I have found a solution! My company has allowed me and one of my co-workers to job share. So, starting Monday I will work every other Monday and 12 - 5 Tuesday through Thursday. It will be such a nice change, I will have to let you know how it progresses. Life has been otherwise good - Sheridan is growing everyday, we have her 4 month check up on Thursday. I'm not looking forward to the shots but I am looking forward to seeing how much she weighs and if she has gotten taller. She is really chatting these days and we think she is going to roll over any day now. Below are some new pictures.

A Naughty Dog....what to do?

Ok, so I have been back at work for almost 3 weeks now -feels like 3 years! It has been a much harder transition than I ever anticipated. While I love what I do, my heart breaks everyday I go to work. I want so badly to find a blend between work and family where I am not spending 45 hours a week away from Sheridan. I have been fortunate enough to come home for lunch most days so that has been an awesome midday relief for me. I am taking it one day at a time.
Jon made it home safely from Singapore and he had a fabulous time. A lot more fun outside the conference but fun nonetheless. Below are some pictures - a lot of food obviously.

Sheridan took her first road trip last weekend to Kansas City. She slept the whole way there and back - we couldn't have asked for a better ride. I was really nervous about it but was so delightfully surprised. We went to visit my great aunt Marge and our other family in KC, but this was the first time Marge got to meet Sheridan. We took some photos to capture the moments, they are below. We had to do a photo of Sheridan in her baptism dress because this was the same gown Marge wore. What a special thing to share.

To speak to the title of this blog - Stallone has been so naughty. Maybe he was always naughty and I was just in denial and always making excuses for him but I am done! He continues to have accidents when we are not home - we have tried everything. We kennel him, he pees - we make him wear a diaper, he pees - we leave him out, he pees. We have spent more money on different kennels and dog houses and diapers! I know he can hold it because sometimes he goes 10 hours at night. So, we have decided to try one more kennel (we are borrowing my parents - not buying another one) this one is a little smaller than the ones we have so maybe with little room to move he won't go. Keep your fingers crossed for Stallone because if this doesn't work he will officially become an outdoor dog when we are not home....in the rain, shine, snow or wind - we have decided we are not going to let him ruin our new home and we refuse to give him a bath daily after her pees on himself.
